1. Tell Tom & Tom to fully fund the Clean Elections law!
-------------------------------------------------------------
This message is also at http://www.jamesokeefe.org/TakeAction
We are urging our supporters to make two simple calls to
support fully funding the Clean Elections Law. Fully funding
the Clean Elections Law will help get big money out of
politics and ensure that our campaign's voice is heard.
Please call Speaker Finneran and Senate President
Birmingham at:
Finneran's #: 617-722-2500
Birmingham's #: 617-722-1500
The message is simple:
"I want the budget conference committee to fully fund Clean
Elections NOW."
Please call and spread the word to your friends and family.
Thanks!

-------------------------------------------------------------
Mass. Voters for Clean Elections is asking supporters to come
into the MVCE office at 37 Temple Place in Boston to help
with phonebanking next week. They will pay $10/hour for
phonebankers and calls can be done day or night. If you are
interested in helping please call them at 617.451.5999 or
888.775.2475 (toll-free in Massachusetts) or email
ddonnelly at massvoters.org.

3. Campaign volunteers needed
-------------------------------------------------------------
Jamie O'Keefe's campaign for State Treasurer is picking up
steam, and we need volunteers to mount a real challenge to
Massachusetts' irresponsible and destructive investment
policies. Whatever your talents and abilities, you can help.
We need people for standouts and public outreach, fundraising,
house parties, telephone banking, envelope stuffing, and many
other activities and tasks.
Most immediately, we will be tabling that the Boston
Vegetarian Food Festival this Saturday (10/13) at the Reggie
Lewis Center. You can come and spread the word while
sampling great food. You can find more information
on this event at:
http://www.jamesokeefe.org/calendar/events/boston_vegetarian_food_festival.html
Also, on Saturday, October 20th, we will be at the Stone Bone
Feather Festival in Amesbury. You can find more information

5. Web site updated! New look and feel and more features!
-------------------------------------------------------------
With the help of Medford Green, Jason King, and others, we
redesigned the web site to improve its look and add more
features to it. New features include expanded issues,
volunteer, contribute and contact pages. There is an
"In the News" section that contains most of the articles that
have mentioned the campaign. The site also includes an
events section.
We have also added a Take Action section that will list ways
supporters can take action on the issues the campaign is
fighting for including supporting the Clean Elections law and
opposing corporate welfare.
We will continue to expand the web site to help supporters
organize the campaign from the grassroots and provide
valuable feedback and oversight of James O'Keefe. If you
would like to help with the web site please email
info at jamesokeefe.org.
