Join Jill Stein, Tony Lorenzen and James O’Keefe in Western Mass this weekend!

Join the statewide candidates for two days of events this weekend:

Saturday, September 7: James O’Keefe will be on hand at the Franklin/Hampshire
Green Party County conventions at Mt. Toby Meeting House in Leverett from 10 am-
12:30 pm. After the convention, James will join local activists for a
Democracy Lemonade Stand Tour through Amherst, Northampton, and Easthampton.
If you haven’t seen or heard of the Green Lemonade Stands for Democracy,
they’re really fun and worth checking out. They’re sort of an old-fashioned
political meet-and-greet tour with the message, “When the legislature gives you
lemons, make lemonade!” Basically, it’s tabling with a gimmick—free lemonade!
We’ll talk with voters about the Green Party, recruit more activists, and
register new voters.

Please join us for any part or all of the day! Following is the schedule:

LEVERETT— Franklin/Hampshire Green Party County Convention, Mt. Toby Meeting
House, 10 am-12:30 pm
AMHERST—Lemonade Stand for Democracy, the corner of Kellogg and North Pleasant
Streets, 1:30-2:45
NORTHAMPTON—Lemonade Stand for Democracy, Pulaski Park, next to the Academy of
Music on Main Street 3:15-5:00. Michael Aleo, Green Party State Representative
Candidate for 1st Hampshire District will join us.
EASTHAMPTON— Lemonade Stand for Democracy, Cottage Street, near Capo’s Cafe,
and on Holyoke St., near Flywheel 5:30-7 pm. Sue Bartone, Green Party State
Representative candidate for 2nd Hampshire District will join us. Tony
Lorenzen, Green Party candidate for Lt. Governor may join us as well.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 8, JILL IN BERKSHIRE COUNTY

On Sunday, September 8, Jill Stein will join Berkshire County Green Party folks
for their county convention at 1pm at the Black Swan Inn (Best Western Hotel),
Rt. 20, Lee MA. Following the convention, the Berkshire county Greens are
hosting a speak-out where they’ve invited activists from different local
progressive organizations to talk with Jill about their concerns. The speak-
out will be at the Black Swan Inn from 2:30-5:00 pm. Participants will include
Analisa Vargas from Greenworking, an immigrant-rights group; Tim Gellar from
the Affordable Housing Coalition; and Tim Grey from the Housatonic River
Initiative. Representatives from other activist groups are expected to
attend.
